Update on relief work - Hari Ratan

The Rotary Club of Chennai Kilpauk has taken on a project that requires many hands and large funds. A project that had to be taken on and has to be accomplished.

The last 10 days or so over 50 people have been involved in our relief operations, about 10 Rotarians have put in about 6 hours a day on this effort, identifying needs, liaisoning with authorities, procuring material, talking to corporates and people for funds, transportation and planning and checking and other work. Other than Rotarians over 40 people, most of them staff working for Rotarians are involved full time in our relief work.

We are leaving tomorrow morning at 6 AM to the affected areas and distribute rice and other relief materials, we will return on Saturday night.

Our regular meeting for Friday will not be held since most Rotarians will be away on Tsunami relief work.
