Be Positive

ON 6th Aug.,  RCCK  worked with the District on the state level Blood Donation drive – Be Positive. The event held at the Honda facility, with participation from Writer and Toll, all operating out of Sai's warehousing park, saw over 140 participants volunteering to donate blood. However, many were rejected on various grounds, biggest being low hemoglobin in girls, on account of iron deficiency. Finally we collected 95 units against a target of 100. This was the highest in Region 11 of the district. Thanks to Reddy San, of Honda, for his interest and support. Also many thanks and personal appreciation to Rtn. Sai Venkat, Comm. Services Director, for a wonderful day of 3 events. Thanks Rtn. Revathi and Rtn. Ravindran for being there.

HELPING HANDS at Peria Obalapuram

In association with OPG, 15 beneficiaries were given tri-cycles at the village panchayat premises on 6th of Aug. The project covered under the matching grants with Rotary Club of Edmonton Mayfield, is one of long term projects of RCCK under which hundreds of beneficiaries have  been given an opportunity to be mobile and become self dependent. RCCK’s ability to provide a means of transport to these poor, enable them to lead sustainable lives and become less dependent on their poor families as they are now mobile.

Rtn. Ravindran and Sai mention this one beneficiary who would not let go of their hand and kept thanking them profusely for the change we have brought to his and his family’s life. Truly humbling..!!
President Rtn. Mahimm, wants to record the special thanks to Rtn. Arvind Gupta, Rtn. Sai, Dir. Community Serivces and Secretary Rtn. Ravikrishnan for making this event possible. Also, the clubs thanks go out to Rtns. Ravindran and Revathi for being there.
