A toilet

In the foreground is a toilet which has now been abandoned because of unsanitory conditions. On an inspection I found that even earlier there could not have been much sanitation here. So one can imagine the conditions now. In the background is an upcoming Mass Rapid Transit station. Posted by Picasa

Update

It has been sometime since I updated the blog and this is a failing on my part. Since the last update we have been working hard and many small and a few large projects have been completed. Vijaya the club's Vocational service director has been very active and is continuously working at her projects and the beneficiaries are students and teachers, specially from Thiru Vi Ka School. The floods which recently ravaged the city have left behind much siffering and has propted the club members to provide eergency relief and one again, Rtn, Tim Johnson stepped in with funds to help us help the needy.

We also innaugurated the Ed Edison computer Centre at a Tsunami affected village. The centre has 3 computers and many children in that village as also villages in and arund that area derive great benefit form the centre. This project was made possible by the contribution made by Ed Edison through the good offices of Rtn. Tim Johnson.
