The year started off with a wonderful Club Assembly on the 19th of July
at Pondicherry. Full of positive feeling and good cheer, chaired by our new
President, Rtn. Mahimm, we met to chalk out our plans for the year under his
stewardship. Rotary Cub of Chennai Kilpauk (RCCK) board members were quick to
define what the year ahead is to be focused on – clear roadmaps were drawn up
for projects that continue to be our focus. New plans were identified,
including the area of raising funds to provide us the funds we need to carry on
our work through the year.
The 30 Members and Annes, finished business and then engaged in a
wonderful evening of fellowship. Games that involved everyone, especially
‘pinning the donkey’ with a naughty twist, was the most exciting. Must cheer
the sportsmanship shown by one and all. Something was unique in the Tambola –
all the winnings went to the Rotarians and their Annes!!!! The karaoke session
thereafter showed the unknown side of many a member.
The next day was a
factory visit to Rtn. Karthik’s coil making factory and a great extention of
