Dear Friends,

I am just trying to recover from  the effect of yesterday's installation. I have received  several  phone calls and several emails .

RCCK Flag flys high in Dist 3230  
The Installation was attended by almost 140 people.
More than 70% of the Incoming President's of the District , several district Officials attended the function though quite a few of them did not stay back for dinner.   Several invitee's were prospective members and a few of my good friends and well wishers. 

It was great to see the participation of the Ann's and Annette's of the club.
The arrangements were immaculate.
The atmosphere pleasing and soothing.

The effect of the installation function on the Visitors was mesmerising.
Several co-presidents while congratulating me , mentioned thay had not seen nothing like this before . 
To top it , one co -president  while congratulating me just stood there with a loss of words  for few moments .So I enquired what it was ..   He blurted out he just did not have words to express what he just experienced . Truly awesome.
Another Co- President  mentioned that with the Invocation dance the expectations were raised . and what followed just raised the bar . Each participant just went on to keep the audience glued to their seats and waiting for the next big thing to happen...  
The DGE A P Kanna went on to mention that the Installation was a huge learning experience for him . It was  well executed , precise, informative, attention grabing,   and  heart warming .

A great beginning for year 13-14 .
This was made possible by the participation of each and every member of RCCK, the Ann's and the Annette's
To single out anyone for the success of yesterday's function would be unfair because so many people put in tireless efforts.  We sat down to conceive the theme and concept for the function  one month ago and this built up gradually till the D" day.
However, I would like to mention the efforts and inputs from our members  --
Mita - Venkat and son Rohan  , Sanjay ,  Mahim and Rakhee, Jose, Mani , Vasanti,  Siva and Lata , Nirmal -Vidya and daughters, Bipin, Bhavna and daughter Hashi,   Varda, Sreevats, Ravindran , Hari  and Karthik for  guidance throughout the event.
The year ahead promises to be a memorable year....

March 15th, Dr Ram, Intensivist was at his extensive best and had everyone's intense attention during his talk at the speaker meeting. His talk brought about a new dimension to what we all face in the harrowing times at the ICU in a hospital. The doctors talk was preceded by giving awards for Vocational excellence in the services the recipients perform on a day to day basis. Mr.  Thulasi from MUKTI, Mr. Aravind from Banquets, Taj Connemara and Mr. Krishnamurthy, Valet Services, Taj Connemara were recognized and given a small award for their excellent contribution in their roles. The turnout for the meeting was excellent and saw almost a full house. 

Distribution of Wheel Chairs at Arambakkam through the MG - Edmonton Mayfield and RCCK

Happy at being mobile  Twenty Wheelchairs were distributed on the 30th December at the Arambakkam village,Gumnipundi,This was with the Matching Grant from  Edmonton Mayfield and RCCK.  Around 14 beneficiaries were there in spite of the bad weather.The balance of 6 wheelchairs would be given away in a weeks time.President Nirmal Nahar, Rtn Ravikrishnan,Rtn Vasanthi attended this function at Arambakkam.

Helping Hands Program on 26th November at Mukthi

A program wherein 40 artificial limbs and 15 calipers would be distributed at MUKTI at around 2,00 PM on the 26th of November 2012. More details and pictures would follow after the event.

RCCK with the MG of Edmonton, Mayfield distributes Mobility Aids under the Helping Hands program 

 It was a satisfying program on the 29th of September 2012. 20 tricycles were ready for distribution at the Thiru Vi Ka School, Chennai and about 11 beneficiaries had come for the event to collect the same. They had come from far off places to collect their tricycles with great difficulty.It was indeed very heartening to see them on the cycles with a big smile of happiness and lots of hope that this mobility aid would help them  to move forward in their lives. The balance of tricycles will be given 1st week of October. It is a very proud moment for RCCK with the help of MG with Edmonton Mayfield to be part of such a project. Rtn Raveendran, Rtn Vasanthi Ananth, Rtn Bipin Bhatia, Rtn Sanjay Agarwal were there to see the difference the tricycles made to the recipients.
